Former private commissions include a swimming pool inlaid with thousands of semi-precious stones in the pattern of a floral carpet, a garden pavilion with hand-carved white marble jali screens, water channels, and fountains in the classic Chahar Bagh style, a wedding dining service created specially for the bride and groom in gold, silver and semi-precious stones, and a monumental marble basmala with calligraphy created in raised and gilded lapis lazuli.
With many years experience between them, Bethan and Abdul Karim have intuitive design empathy. They delight in the challenges and opportunities of each new commission. Like Aladdin’s genie, they make magical visions to delight and astound.
